In one minute I can explain to you how you can know for sure that if you died today
you would go to heaven. There are four things that you need to know: Fact-1.
God says that all men are sinners. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23.
If you are honest, you know you are a sinner. We all are sinners before a holy God.
Fact-2.
God says that the wages of your sin (and mine) is death. "For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of
God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord," Romans 6:23. What we have earned (wages) because
of our sin and what we deserve is death...separation from God.
Fact-3.
God says that even though we are sinners, He sent Christ to die for our sin. "But God commendeth
His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us," Romans 5:8. On the
cross Jesus paid the penalty (death) for our sin.
Fact-4.
God says to be saved and have your sin forgiven each and every man must call on the Lord Jesus Christ
to be his or her personal SAVIOUR! "For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,"
Romans 10:13. This is very simple and simply means you pray and ask the Lord to save you from your sins.
It is as simple as A. B. C. A. Acknowledge that you are a sinner before God.
B. Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from your sin.
C. Call on the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer to save you.
When we pray and ask Jesus Christ to save us and forgive us our sin, we receive Him into our heart.
"But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on His name." John 1:12 |
